  • Final decisions on product duplication rest with Marvellous Markets management

6. Trader Responsibilities

6.1 Setup and Trading

  • Arrive promptly at designated setup times - please note that if you arrive late you may not be able to trade this is due to the health and safety of others and the public.
  • Provide your own gazebos, suitable weights, tables, chairs, and display materials unless arranged otherwise
  • Maintain a tidy, professional stall presentation
  • Please do not leave your stall unattended during trading hours.
  • Only traders authorised and registered with Marvellous Markets may operate at our events. Marvellous Markets is not responsible for any actions, damages, losses or claims resulting from the presence or conduct of any unauthorised trader. It is the duty of each trader to ensure their identity and business details are not misused by third parties.
  • You will be required to show your ID on the day and it must match that of the booker. If you are an employee  trading on their behalf then you will also need to produce your ID and suitable employee liability insurance.

6.2 Insurance and Liability

We recommend that you seek advice from a professional and invest in the appropriate level of insurance cover this is normally £5,000,000.

  • You must have appropriate public liability insurance (minimum £1,000,000)
  • Your insurance should cover you for craft markets trading.
  • You're responsible for the safety of your stall, products, and any equipment, including any infrastructure you supply (e.g. tables, gazebos, weights, display stands), which must be fit for purpose and securely weighted as required. Please note small 2kg - 8kg weights per Gazebo leg is NOT suitably secured Marvellous Markets is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses caused by your own infrastructure.

  • General guidelines online advises -

Light wind / Calm: 10kg PER LEG

Moderate wind: 11-18kg PER LEG

Strong Wind (above 25mph): 18-27kg+ PER LEG

Remember larger gazebos need extra weight!

You MUST do your own RISK ASSESSMENT and deem adequate weights - an unexpected strong breeze can tip over a gazebo in seconds - it’s really not worth a claim on your PLI.

  • If it is deemed you have arrived with unsuitable or unsafe infrastructure/weights you will be asked to leave on grounds of safety and NO refund will be given.
  • All Stall holders must provide copies of all required documentation (e.g. your Public Liability Insurance certificate and any other documentation required) before the event, and carry them with you for spot checks by Marvellous Markets staff or local authorities and complete your own risk assessment for each event you attend.
  • Only the registered business or individual named in the booking and their employees named and covered by the submitted insurance documents will be permitted to operate at the event.
  • No person or business may substitute, broker, or delegate their place to another party without prior written approval from Marvellous Markets and submission of updated insurance documents.
  • Marvellous Markets reserves the right to refuse entry, remove, or report any trader who fails to supply required documentation or who trades under another identity or with unsuitable insurance.
  • We're not liable for theft, damage, or loss of your property

6.3 Customer Service

  • Provide friendly, professional customer service
