Marvellous Markets Terms and conditions

As a Stall Holder on our markets it is your duty to always be up to date with government legislation regarding your products or services. 

Documentation: It is the individual Stall Holders responsibility to have their own Public Liability Insurance in order to hold a stall at a Marvellous Markets event.

If you employ staff you need to include employees insurance onto your policy.

We recommend that you seek advice from a professional and invest in the appropriate level of insurance cover this is normally £5,000,000.

An Insurance company will ensure you are given the correct advice so you purchase the correct level of protection for yourself and your business. 

Some of our Stall Holders have both Public Liability Insurance. and Product Liability Insurance.

We require ALL Stall Holders or Contractors being a part of a Marvellous Markets event to forward us a copy of THEIR Risk Assessment

Stall Holders are also required to obtain any other license(s) and certificate(s) where appropriate. 

• Food Standard Agency Rating Certificate.
• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate with your local Environment Health Department
• Registered Qualified Therapist Certificate(s).
• PAT Certificate(s)  for electrical items
• CLP License

If your products are sold as "organic, vegan or cruelty free," you must be able to provide certification of this from bodies such as The Vegan Society, PETA and their suppliers certification of organic produce.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU SEND US A COPY OF YOUR DOCUMENTS BEFORE THE EVENT AND HAVE ALL RELEVANT DOCUMENTATION WITH YOU FOR SPOT CHECK INSPECTION AT THE EVENT - Failure to do so WILL prevent you being able to participate at the event. 

Stall Applications

Previous applications or attendance at a previous Marvellous Markets event does not guarantee you a place at our future events. 

Submitting an application does NOT guarantee you a space at an event. 

Your application will be reviewed and an allocation will be secured only  upon receipt of payment followed by a written confirmation from ourselves.

Stall holders that supply and use their own infrastructure at our event must ensure that it is fit for purpose and weighted appropriately. Marvellous Markets are not liable for any damages caused by your own infrastructure. 

Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Health and Safety officials can inspect the site during our event. 

Please note, Environmental Health, Trading Standards or any other professional body may also inspect the site during an event.

All Toys & Games sold at a Marvellous Markets event must have a CE mark.

Counterfeit and dangerous items such as

guns, knives or other weapons are prohibited from sale and if presented you will be asked to remove them.

NO smoking is permitted in the vicinity of the stalls.

No naked flame or fur based products are permitted at our events.

Sellers wishing to use any electrical equipment at a Marvellous Market event must advise us at the time of requesting a stall. 

Some of our event venues do allow electrical use however, sockets are limited. 

Please be sure to list all items you wish to bring and use when applying for a stall, failure to comply with this may lead to you being unable to use your item/s at the event.

Any stall holders using electrical equipment that is over 12 months old must supply a valid PAT certificate prior to its use at an event. Failure to comply with this will lead to you being unable to use this item at the event.

House Keeping 

You must consider the risks of showcasing at our events and plan a risk assessment. Ensuring you know what you have to do to keep yourself and our visitors safe. Thinking about trip hazards, sharp objects, health and hygiene hazards, infrastructure hazards (especially when you provide your own table/chairs and gazebo, etc). It is the traders responsibility to ensure their products conform to the accepted legal framework and legislation for general consumer sales in the UK. 

Stall Holders are to ensure they safely store packing cases, boxes, trollies etc. to keep paths clear and their area clean and tidy, ensuring to dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided before leaving the event. 

Food Traders

Every food based business needs to be registered with a local council, please ensure you display your food hygiene rating on your stall. The council will provide you with information on your packaging requirements, weights and measures, as well as what is required from your business with regards allergies and will be able to assist with any questions you have. 

At a very minimum we require  Sneeze Guards are used on your stall to ensure food is covered, No handling of food without gloves.

Marvellous Markets accepts no responsibility for any stock theft or destruction of any exhibit, goods, property or equipment at our event. 

Marvellous Markets accept no liability for loss of earnings as a result of any circumstances, nor any other action by any third party beyond our control.

We do not review or control, and are in no way responsible for any of the descriptions of products provided by our Sellers, and therefore accept no responsibility for the content thereof. 

Warranties are excluded by Marvellous Markets absolutely. This does not affect your statutory rights against any seller.

Data Protection and the Use of Images

In compliance with Data Protection laws your information will be held confidentially and will not shared with any third party without your written consent. 

We will record the event via video and photographs and will post to social media sites, we may go live at the event also.

We may ask you supply us with a link to your business social media where possible or photographs of items you will be selling, these are to be used on our social media for advertising and to check your items for avoidance of duplication where possible.

We are a family friendly market company therefore we expect all profanities to be covered. If any artwork or images are deemed inappropriate or offensive on a stall we will ask for them to be removed.

When showcasing at our events our stall holders acknowledge that they have read our terms and conditions and have accepted them.

When showcasing at our events our stallholders acknowledge that they will not engage in any false or misleading conduct including, but not limited to, selling counterfeit goods or mislabeling goods.

Any unacceptable behaviour including aggression, abusive language or refusal to comply with any of our terms and conditions will be treated as a breach. A breach will result in that stall holder and their staff being required to leave the event immediately and being banned from trading at any of our future events.

Cancellations

You have the right to cancel a booking at any time, however, we will NOT issue any refund for cancelled stalls/no show on the day. 

We accept no liability for any costs incurred by yourselves. 

Should the event need to be cancelled by Marvellous Markets a refund or new date will be offered to you. 

In the event of the venue cancelling the event an alternative event will be offered or a full refund given to you. 

We are not able to control the weather; if an event has to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions such as high winds, we will offer you a new date, if you require a refund we can only offer 75% refund. 

Refunds can take up to 10 days for processing. 

No other refunds will be offered. 

Banner Display 

If you have a stand up banner display that you want to bring please let us know in advance so we can position your stall away from the doors/windows when we do the event plan.

Updates 

Posters, any event information, updates and upcoming event details will be on the Marvellous Markets social pages please join them, invite your friends and feel free to share the event posters. 

Advertising the Event

Marvellous Markets will advertise our events in the local area; we will post leaflets through doors, put posters in local shops and have signage displayed outside the venue prior to and during the event.

We request that all stall holders also advertise the event on their social media's this will also enable your patrons to know where you are for your direct sales

Should a Stall Holder need to leave an event early it is expected that they will first gain permission from the event organiser to ensure the safety of the public and other trades.
